General Information
Our current membership is around 80 and we have three full-sized lawns. We play croquet or golf croquet on both full and half-sized lawns.
The Club’s main playing season is from September to May. Informal play takes place in winter, depending on weather and availability of lawns.
Play is from Monday-Saturday, according to divisions and season. Members may usually practise after 4.00 pm or on Sundays if they wish. See the bottom of the "Home" page for current days, divisions and times.
Teams are entered in Pennant competitions and individual players participate in events organized by other clubs and in Croquet Tasmania Championship and Medal events.
Annual Membership New members may apply to join at any time and anyone interested is very welcome to come along at certain times to have a try. This can be arranged by contacting the Club. We usually offer six lessons at a nominal cost. (The Joining fee is waived if you then join the Club).
Associate Members pay an annual fee which is approximately half that for full membership. They may play either croquet or golf croquet on Monday, Thursday or Saturday afternoons and participate in other Club activities such as the Christmas luncheon. They are not entitled to vote at General Meetings.
Apart from our annual fees there are no other regular charges such as green fees or morning tea charges.

Club dress of red and white or all white is worn for all organized playing events. However, after 4.00 pm and during the winter suitable casual dress may be worn. Flat-soled shoes are compulsory at all times.
Introductory coaching is offered as mentioned above and beginners are encouraged to take advantage of courses offered by Adult Education at various clubs in Hobart from time to time. Club mallets are available for use by beginners. The Club has several qualified coaches and members are free to arrange coaching with them at suitable times or to attend coaching sessions.
Visitors from interstate or from clubs outside Hobart are welcome at any time. To arrange a game, please phone the club.
